How do we see Mayan values exemplified in modern society?

We see Mayan values like; religion, architecture and food in modern society everyday. Architecture was a Mayan value and influenced the ways of building in the modern world by using the level support system, having every level be smaller then the one below it. Parks and buildings use this method to create a strong and sturdy structure. Religion is another Mayan value that influenced the many religions now. They Mayans religion believed different Gods controlled different things as do many religions now, polytheism. The value that has influenced modern society the most is Mayan food, although some ingredients were changed and is now Americanized most Mexican restaurants have Mayan food.
